Sunday 21st August will see the Woodbridge DMCC host the fifth round of the 2022 Stebbings Car Superstore and PP Sports Insurance ACU Eastern Motocross Championship at Blaxhall with a line-up of 160 Expert and Junior riders competing in a bumper 12-race programme.
The meeting sees the riders enter the second half of the Championship with the Expert Championship featuring a number of Expert riders battling it out for valuable championship points.
Luke Parker currently leads the Expert Championship by 61 points ahead of Shaun Southgate and will be trying to extend his points lead further. Southgate was in dominant form at the previous round at Blaxhall and will be looking for a repeat performance. Lewis Tombs currently sits third in the championship but is unable to compete and therefore Ben Coles will be looking to move up the standings and remain ahead of Declan Whittle. Luke Benstead is again contesting the Expert class and will be hoping for better luck this time after bike issues kept him out of the races at the last round. Other Experts include British Championship riders Sam Nunn and Robert Holyoake, along with regular Experts such as William Farrow, Tom Murphy, Brad Woodroffe and Josh Peters.
The top Junior Championship riders will be competing alongside the Experts in the Premier class. Joseph Leeks currently leads the Championship standings ahead of Jake Rackham by just 6 points, so there is sure to be plenty of close racing between the pair. Sean Ottway is currently third in the standings, but due to injury will be missing the event so Connor Bunkle and Travis Frost in fourth and fifth will be looking to take advantage.
With 140 Junior riders competing alongside the Experts and in the Support classes there is sure to be plenty of action in all of the 12 races during the day so be sure to purchase your tickets Online now for the event on the Club website, Facebook page or at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/stebbings-pp-sports-acu-eastern-motocross-championship-rd-5-tickets-303087461757
